Siri stopped working after updating to 3.0

The following steps may help.

On your iPhone, go to:

• Settings > General > Keyboard - check that Enable Dictation is turned on.
• Settings > General > Restrictions - check that the restriction for Siri & Dictation is not enabled
• Settings > Siri - disable, pause for a few moments and then re-enable Siri.

If that does not immediately help, try also restarting both devices afterwards. Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first:

• Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
• Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

I Updated two phones and two watches today. Everything works perfectly except both watches no longer respond to Siri. As a very experienced and 25 year user of Apple products I've gone through the normal trouble shooting with no change. Must be a bug I suspect.

We are talking about Siri on the watch yes? If you go through the steps would you please post the results that would be appreciated thank you.

After updating both watches, my wife's and myself to the latest operating system on both of our iPhones and watches Siri, dictation, and being able to use the watches phone function have all been disabled. Anything that needs to use the microphone no longer works. The fact that after updating both watches now have the exact same simultaneous dysfunction must mean there is a bug in the latest update

Here is an update. This morning I decided to see if cleaning the little slots for the mic input made a difference . To my surprise the mic now works. So also did my wife's watch and it now works too! I can't believe it but everything now works. I hope this can help someone. ...Brad
